Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera
Perfectly centred in the heart of the island, Santa Gertrudis is a quaint little village that’s easy to reach from wherever you live — or pretend to live.
Fun fact: it’s also one of the few places in Ibiza where you can’t see the sea. Which, frankly, felt like the ideal location to set up our design studio — safely tucked away from the glittering distractions the island offers in abundance.
Coined by some as the “Notting Hill of Ibiza,” Santa Gertrudis offers a unique blend of old-school Ibicencos who grew up here and watched everything change in front of their eyes, and newly arrived creative entrepreneurs. This mix shows up everywhere: in the cafés, the architecture, the characters, and the restaurants. You’ll find freshly polished concept spots sitting comfortably next to old-timers that haven’t changed since the first local ordered his carajillo at 10:00 a.m.
The peaceful setting makes it the perfect island hideaway: a place where we sketch our plans while you warm up (or cool down) beside the indoor fireplace at Bar Costa, hiding from either the summer heat or the winter humidity — both equally unforgiving.
And as with everything in Ibiza, there’s never a shortage of temptation, with food and drink options galore. So if you’re visiting us, please book your meeting responsibly.
Some of our favourites include:
– Macao Café and Can Can for timeless Italian indulgence
– Our neighbours Bar Costa and Restaurante Santa Gertrudis for their infamous bocadillos and menú del día classics (with or without a caña… your call)
– Picadeli or Wild Beets for a healthy(ish) lunch while we write journal entries like this
– Chez Bibi for the best focaccias and pastries to pair with your morning coffee
– Galería Tambien for our favourite vintage treasures
– Parra & Romero Gallery to feed our art cravings
– Baron Ibiza to buy our designer-black tees (obviously) :)
So yes — in trying to escape Ibiza’s endless pleasures, distractions, and deliciousness, we’ve somehow placed ourselves directly at the epicentre of all of it. As it should be.
So please, be our guest — don’t be shy, and feel free to drop by.
And when it all becomes a little too much, we simply wander over to the nearby Soho House Ibiza, take a dip in its photogenic pool, breathe… and ponder our next write-up, sundowner in hand.
Santé.
